Rice University is a private tier-1 research university located in Houston, Texas. Most of the Rice planetarium shows are created by the Rice Space Institute in cooperation with the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Rice and HMNS are the creators of Discovery Dome, which is distributed by Rice U spinoff company MTPE Inc (doing business as ePlanetarium). The Dome system and the shows were created under NASA cooperative agreements. Other popular products include the software suites Space Update and Space Weather. Kiosk software includes Marquee, which can show highlights of your shows; survey software, which can allow you to survey your visitors; and TicTacToe, an educational knowledge game.
