The Great Lakes Planetarium Association‘s Golden Anniversary conference will take place at the Chaffee Planetarium in the Grand Rapids Public Museum, Michigan, on October 14-17, 2015.

Being the oldest regional planetarium association, GLPA was established in 1965. Since then GLPA has been supporting its members and space science education with publications, annual conferences, and more.

The organizers have planned a great program aiming at professional development, networking and informal sharing among colleagues, demonstrating new technologies and products, applying the most efficient teaching techniques, encouraging up-to-date astronomical discoveries and finding new ways to inspire, rejuvenate, and energize planetarians.
