Director and co-founder of IMERSA, Dan has produced engaging audience experiences for more than 40 years, and has retired from managing one of the most influential immersive theaters in the world, the Gates Planetarium. His consulting firm, Neafus Network, provides public and performance artworks across the country. With an emphasis on technology, Neafus utilizes many tools in his work, from supercomputer graphics to 3d sound and automated lighting. As Producer, his fulldome production credits include; Black Holes: the Other Side of Infinity, Supervolcanoes, Cosmic Journey: A Solar System Adventure, Bella Gaia: Beautiful Earth, and Dynamic Earth, which have been distributed to theaters worldwide. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences focusing on the the language of immersive cinema, and fulldome standards development. By collaborating with and inspiring fellow visionary pioneers he has charted a course for the future of dome theaters.
