About me
Jorge Bandera, designer, artist, and educator, merges work and academic realms, exploring theory-practice interplay. His interdisciplinary approach spans artificial space creation to digital artifact development. He investigates art-science interconnection, immersive image production, extended reality, interactive installations, and expanded formats. At the heart of his research lies creative coding, open-source software, and contemporary media exploration. Through his work, he fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, blending creative, technological, and contemporary artistic practices. As a lecturer at Universidad de los Andes and Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, he promotes such collaboration. His work has been showcased at various new media and electronic art festivals globally, including KinoMural in Poland, Minsk Fulldome Festival in Belarus, Astra Film Festival in Romania, FAAMAI Digital Arts Hub in Thailand, Macon Film Festival in the United States, NUR International Media Art Festival in Kazan, Russia, Project 22 art & Kanvas in Dubai, VOLTAJE Art and Technology Salon in Colombia, and the International Image Festival in Colombia.
