About me
Visual Artist. Painter. Photographer. Filmmaker.
Born in Italy, in 1976, I have exhibited in the United States, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom. I studied painting at the Art Students League of New York with Robert Cenedella and Mary Beth McKenzie. I am alumnus of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences of Columbia University, New York, where I gained a Ph.D. in Astrophysics in 2008 with a thesis on the evolution of galaxies and the large-scale structure of the universe.
My work has been exhibited and screened in galleries and institutions including the Sidney Mishkin Gallery (NYC), CAMeC Museum (Italy), Castel dell'Ovo (Naples), Palazzo Ducale (Genoa), Museo Laboratorio d'Arte Contemporanea (Rome), Palazzo Farnese (French Embassy, Rome), the 54th Venice Biennial, The Italian Academy (New York), Columbia University (New York), the Museum of Oriental Art (Turin) and the Ishida Taisheisha Hall (Kyoto).
My work is present in public and private collections in the US and Europe, including the collections of the Brooklyn Museum (New York), Albright-Knox museum (Buffalo, NY), Sidney Mishkin Gallery (City University of New York), Columbia University (New York), Museo d'Arte Contemporanea (Castle of Rivara, Italy), Anthology Film Archives (New York). Articles on his work appeared on Flash Art, NY Arts, La Stampa, La Repubblica, America24, Yahoo News.
