I work as a post-doctoral fellow in astrophysics at the South African Astronomical Observatory. For my postdoc, I work with the IDIA Visualisation Lab to explore the immersive visualisation of scientific data within the planetarium environment, specifically using the Iziko Planetarium and Digital Dome in Cape Town. As an energetic supporter of science engagement, I also work as a part-time planetarium presenter and educator and have trained as a professional field guide in game reserves across Southern Africa. One of my primary goals is to produce and encourage the local production of fulldome content that celebrates Africa's numerous artistic and scientific achievements.
