We at the Astronomical Society of the Pacific are so excited to join in the celebration of the Planetarium Centennial by offering a specific planetarium strand during our 2024 ASP Annual Conference!
Abstracts submissions are open now through June 9, 8:59 PM PT. The 100% virtual conference will be held August 22-24, 2024.
We know that many planetarians are already members/partners of ASP and/or have participated in our programs and workshops or utilized our many free resources. We have several ASP staff members with planetarium experience as well! Looking ahead, we want to do more to support planetariums with workshops, resources, professional development and more, designed specifically for and with the planetarium community. Including a planetarium strand at our annual conference is one step in that direction, and we have a few other projects in the early stages now, so keep an eye out for how you can get involved.
