The planetaria in the German-speaking regions founded a new society (their acronym is GDP), replacing the two former societies, i.e. the council (RDP) and the working group (ADP). The GDP society hosts the Conference of the Society of German-speaking Planetaria, which brings together planetariums, hardware vendors, show distributors and people interested in astronomy from Germany and surrounding countries. There are lectures, discussions and show presentations.
