The Espinho/SCISS Planetarium would like to invite all fulldome enthusiasts to the Immersive Film Festival (IFF) that will be held in Espinho, Portugal in December 4-6, 2015.

This festival is intended to be a place to captivate active members of cinema in general into this new media, discuss ideas and create partnerships, but above all, to promote the development of this cinema field. It is an open invitation to producers, animators, filmmakers, artists, students, teachers and planetarium professionals.

The event will gather international productions, both 2D and 3D, in the Immersive Cinema field. Its competitive section will award the best in fulldome productions, on two categories: Short Pieces (from 1 up to 15 minutes), and complete Fulldome Shows. Within these two main categories five awards will be attributed by a selected jury, including Best of IFF’15, Best 3D, Best Immersion, Best Soundtrack and Public Choice (for Short Pieces category only).

To participate, simply submit a work following the guidelines in the memorandum of understanding that can be downloaded from the IFF website. If you have any questions please feel free to email the organizing committee anytime.
