The Live Interactive Planetarium Symposium (LIPS) 2015 will be the fifth gathering which will take place in San Francisco, CA, on September 23-25, 2015. LIPS aims at enhancing professional networking and creating entertaining, yet scientific, content.
During the meeting professional planetarians and enthusiasts will engage in interactive sessions on skills and techniques for live lessons, share valuable resources and teaching tips, explore ways to start or improve an outreach program or business.
LIPS will be hosted by the California Academy of Sciences which is a renowned scientific and educational institution, and gathers under one roof an aquarium, planetarium, natural history museum, and four-story rainforest. The Academy also offers all participants an access to the Morrison Planetarium, a 22.9m Spitz Nanoseam dome, tilted 30 degrees, with SkySkan Definiti and Electrosonic Fidelity Bright systems.
The California Academy of Sciences will open its doors to everyone who does live lessons – or just about to start – in September 23-25, 2015.
