COSMIC CAVERNS Fulldome short film by Astro-Art for dome theaters and planetarium produced and performed by the outstanding international pianist and composer Claudio Recabarren Madrid. Cosmic Caverns is a musical story that travels through space and time from a cosmic cavern to the ancestral Andean world and then continues its journey to another cosmic cavern to the ancestral Mayan world.
The film presents an original composition by Recabarren with ethno-musical arrangements of voice, wind and percussion performed for instruments from both cultures, as well as the incorporation of drums synthesizers and piano. The original immersive images bring cosmic and artistic layers to the work directed by the visual artist Juan Carlos Vidal images that create a sensory relationship with the music that is performed.
Recabarren’s music seeks an instant connection with the sky and nature, uniting continents, crossing languages and connecting people from all over the world. His music has traveled throughout Asia, North America, Oceania, Latin America, and Europe, performing in lakes, hills, mountaintops, deserts, dolmens, museums, astronomical observatories and planetarium.
Cosmic Caverns produced and exhibited in 2023, it is also the continuation of Piano Under the Stars (fulldome film with 34 awards during the years 2020 and 2022).
