Description
On the remote Canadian island of Texada, the daily bread of human existence – work, play, dreams – is juxtaposed with the tectonic variations of the planet, fluctuating with the cyclical movements of creation, extinction and renewal. By fusing 360-degree live-action footage shot in the island’s mining community with 3D animation sequences of geological upheavals, directors Claire Sanford and Josephine Anderson have given this impressionistic VR work a poetic, immersive dimension.
