Description
The magician Urax looks enviously at the children’s beautiful toys and steals them. He secretly collects them in his ice cave and turns them to stone.
The star fairy Mira, who is a sensitive being, gives new toys to the children, which makes Urax so angry that he takes Mira prisoner and locks her in his cave. But he did not expect that many children would help to free her again. The captured Mira succeeds in sending a shooting star with a message to earth.
A meteorite lands right in front of the siblings Lilly and Tom, who were just looking at constellations. The meteorite contains a message from Mira, and Lilly and Tom decide to rescue her. The meteorite is an enchanted stone, it enables to travel through the universe on a magic cloud. To open the ice cave, they have to “capture” the light of the sun, travel to the moon and wake a sleepy Saturn.
They can only do that with the help of the children in the audience. Everyone speaks a magic spell with Lilly and Tom to make the cloud lift off, and they help loudly to wake the sleeping Saturn.
In the end, the brave children manage to free the star fairy and Urax has to promise never to steal toys again.
The educational background:
“The Rescue of the Star Fairy Mira” is an interactive children’s event for children aged 5 to 8 years. Astronomical knowledge of the starry sky, the sun, the moon and Saturn with its icy moon Enceladus are imparted in a playful way.
The involvement of the children in the planetarium in the action above their heads blurs the distance between the young recipients and the story as time progresses. They become actors and immerse themselves not only visually and aurally, but with all their senses in the action. They bravely learn how they are successful as a community.
The immersive experience in 360° captures the children completely and creates a synergy of learning content with emotions. The fun of learning leads to the effortless storage of the content. The imagination is stimulated in a unique “planetarium learning room”. Visual, acoustic and communicative skills are strengthened. Systemic thinking in different contexts ensures sustainable learning and promotes self-confidence and social skills.
