The 2016 Fiske Fulldome Film Festival that lasted from July 30 to August 20 became one of the longest fulldome events this year. The visitors and participants of the festival could enjoy dozens of fulldome shows presented on the largest dome between Chicago and Los Angeles with the help of cutting-edge Sky-Skan 8K projection system. After three weeks of showing the world's newest and best planetarium shows, the jury of the Fiske Fulldome Film Festival declared the winners on the night grand finale. • Best Short Film: Rona and the Moon
• Best Soundtrack: Resonances Boreales by Roman Zavada
• Best Photography: Kagaya's Aurora, by Kagaya Studio & GOTO
• People's Choice Award: Dream to Fly by the Heavens of Copernicus Productions
