The Science Museum of Virginia looks to fill a newly created position.

This position serves as the operator, content provider and owner of the new Digistar 5 full dome projection system at the Science Museum of Virginia.

Pay Band: 05
Hiring Range: $45,000 - $65,000

Duties include but are not limited to:

• overseeing the operation and taking full ownership of a multi-projector, multi-computer full dome presentation system; including alignment, setup, general maintenance, upgrades, training, scheduling, backups and operation;
• presenting live and pre-packaged astronomy programs for a variety of audiences, responding to astronomy and system questions as part of the presentation;
• presenting live, original and packaged programs on other topics;
• operating other theater control systems to enhance presentations, creating original content for the full dome system using many different graphic programs, cameras, Adobe products and the Digistar 5 software;
• working with staff, vendors, Universities and the local community to create original scripts and concepts to be used when creating original full dome content.
