Description
Founded in 2006 by Pascal Pelletier, figure 55 is a multidisciplinary studio that creates a wide variety of multimedia experiences using both traditional media and new digital technologies. Their projects include museum exhibitions, video installations, virtual reality and immersive films, interactive experiences and various commercial and artistic digital content.
Highlights include Harmonilhere, a 360-degree film featuring Kent Nagano and the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal and Résonance boréales 360o, an immersive musical experience featuring live performance by composer and pianist Roman Zavada and images of Northern Lights filmed in Yellowknife.
figure 55 explores all types of technology in order to push the boundaries of artistic creativity and viewer experience. Whatever the tool or medium, the main objective is to create moments of awe, beauty and connection – connection between people and the art, connection between people and people.
