WEN-E STUDIO, was founded by the new-voice artist Wen-Yee Hsieh. The studio’s immersive experiences were nominated by Tribeca Festival 2022 and 2024, IDFA 2024.
Description
WEN-E STUDIO is founded by Wen-Yee Hsieh, who poses questions about the relationship between visual art, architecture, and the mystery of life.
The VR debut《LIMBOTOPIA in VR》(2021) from the studio was nominated by Tribeca festival 2022, MIFF 2022, and won the Best VR Prize in AniFilm in the Czech Republic.
In 2024, he was once again selected by the 2024 Tribeca Festival immersive section, created the infinite mirror installations《THE GREAT FILTER》and《INVISIBLE THEM》for New York’s art museum Mercer Labs.
Hsieh’s next-stage VR film《LIMBOPHOBIA》(2024) is selected by several European festivals, including ART*VR 2024 in Prague, GIFF 2024, and IDFA 2024 in Amsterdam in the winter of 2024.
